The George in Rye

I’m delighted to announce my most recent find near Camber Sands – The George in Rye ๐Ÿ˜

The 16th century inn has great character, with the rustic bar & classy grill restaurant – a perfect stopping point after a 6mile walk along the coastline ๐Ÿ‘Œ

For starters, I thought it’s best to stay by the sea and order the local oysters ๐Ÿ‘

Great palette cleanser, but I needed carbs…

Spoiled for choice from the lunchtime menu, I tried out the Fish & Chips, again exploring tastes from the sea ๐Ÿ˜‰

Although the Fish was smaller than your usual Fish & Chips bulky portion size, it was perfect for a lunchtime snack.

I decided to go half and half with the medium-rare cooked Steak Ciabatta ๐Ÿฝ

This came with hand-cut chips and was delicious! Especially the hard crusty ciabatta bread.
When in doubt after your meal whether to get a pudding or cocktail, get an Espresso martini ๐Ÿธ

Topped with coffee beans, the caffeine/alcohol combination made the walk back to the holiday beach house a breeze โ˜€๏ธAnd I also would like to share the cute decor from the pub – sea shells from the shore and carved wicker hearts ๐Ÿ˜

A seriously amazing restaurant just a short lovely walk away from the Camber coastline ๐Ÿ–
