Ginger & Pickles Tea Rooms

Looking for a cute and vintage place to go with the girls? Read on to discover my recent brunch stop I love to go to with the besties – the recently opened Tea Rooms in Nantwich, named Ginger and Pickles.

Ginger and Pickles serves breakfast, lunch & brunch, and afternoon tea in the beautiful market towns of  both Nantwich and Tarporley, based in Cheshire. We stumbled across this place at the weekend and were drawn into the cosy, rustic atmosphere as we looked through the unique menu which served home-made food.

The owner was fabulous – a very trendy lady who created a new table for us out the back of the Tea Rooms (the place was completely packed and we hadn’t pre-booked). As it was a cold Autumn morning, the outside heater was put on for us and it felt like our personal VIP area as if we were on holiday, with incredible service throughout the entire two hours we were there.

We were feeling a little ropey from the night before so immediately ordered three fresh orange juices and a pot of tea.

#LastNight with Espresso Martinis…

Out of the three of us, my friend Sam is a huge fish lover and was the first to order the Smoked Salmon Bagel. This bagel was topped with scrambled egg and smoked salmon and did not fail to deliver – the presentation of the dish was equally impressive as we’re all big fans of the blue & white vintage-style cutlery.

My other friend Emma is the one who actually lives in Nantwich, and has a similar appetite/taste buds to me – therefore I wasn’t surprised to see she went for The Cheshire Breakfast (standard).

This full breakfast consisted of a supreme thick pork sausage, smoked back bacon, baked beans, grilled tomato, sauté mushrooms, egg and doorstop toast – just what you need after a night out on the town…

All the options were reasonably priced also, and to give our orders a little variety, I always like to choose something different so I went for the Goats Cheese, Red Pepper, and Red Onion Chutney Toastie.

Again, this was a wise choice and came with a side of coleslaw, salad and crisps.

An exciting feature to Ginger and Pickles is their ‘takeaway bakery selection’ which is available upon entry/exit of the vicinity. There was an entire area filled with homemade cakes, brownies & scones – my friend even took a cheesecake slice home for her husband.

In conclusion, a very warm and welcoming place I highly recommend to visit; whether you’re looking for a good old Cheshire Breakfast, Prosecco Afternoon Tea, Crumpet Stack and Staffordshire Oatcakes, this place will surely be able to satisfy any craving you will ever have.
