Welcome back guys!
Despite finding ourselves living through such uncertain times, I’m delighted to announce #EatOutMoore is diversifying in order to support local producers, independent businesses and food artisans across the UK – real people, real food, real stories.
SO as a specialist food blogger who works with restaurants nationwide (predominantly in the North West region of the UK), during this unprecedented period, I’ve began working with local businesses and independent suppliers to help put the spotlight on their brand, raise awareness, and encourage people to seek alternatives.
Anything from local cheeses, wines, meats, preservatives, to cakes, home-made bread and various other artisan bakeries, etc. You name it – I’ll review it. I’ll of course be providing details of where exactly you can buy this produce whether in store or online, I’m here to give you the answers.
I am thrilled to have my first story ready to educate you all on the produce and founders at The Cheshire Bakehouse!
The Cheshire Bakehouse was created in 2018 by the lovely married couple Simon and Susan Warren. Based in Cheadle Hulme in Cheshire, all fresh food is made in their own kitchen using quality local ingredients. They make a range of hand crafted Savoury Rolls with a very modern twist, which they sell at local markets and retail outlets;
A local Cheshire based company producing Savoury Rolls (sausage rolls with a twist), not a pie and not a sausage roll!!
The Warrens’ source their ingredients from Cheshire and all meats come from Birtwistles of Urmston.
Of course, with recent events they have a back-up on how they operate, and currently sell through www.makersonlineshop.co.uk which has been a real success for Simon & Susan, whilst maintaining their own website www.thecheshirebakehouse.co.uk where they deliver every Wednesday and Saturday.
The Cheshire Bakehouse‘s Pastry Rolls consist of a range of flavours, as you’ll see from the mouth-watering ingredients outlined below in my top 5:
- Potato and Cauliflower Feta with Caramelised Onion baked in smoked paprika,
- Moroccan Butternut Vegan (always a good call to ensure a growing % of the world have an option!)
- The Pulled Pork with caramelised butternut squash, topped with English smoked cheddar and Moroccan lamb.
Worth shouting out the pulled pork pastry roll is the best seller! Though my personal favourite roll is the Chicken Tikka coming up…
Priced at £3.25, you’re really getting your money’s worth with these ingredient packed Pastry Rolls! Cheshire Bakehouse run monthly specials which consists of the Greek Lamb this May, of which I can confirm is full of flavour, alongside my quarter Greek other half, so it’s official.
The Chicken Tikka with Bombay Potato is the June’s special coming up as pictured below – which is my number one I was just telling you about. A little sneak peek right there for when your Summer Pastry purchases take place.
I have to say I’ve been delighted with the speed and service from The Cheshire Bakehouse; an independently run business who clearly know what they’re doing when it comes to pastry rolls – delivering high quality food and prompt service placing the customer first. A real unique focus and a wonderful array of fillings which offer a flavour for everyone.
Other than the websites provided, you can also shop locally for the Cheshire Bakehouse special rolls, so look out for the markets which The Warrens’ will be attending once the World is a little more back to normal with food markets. These include the likes of Hopley House Farm Shop in Middlewich, Crossley’s Café in Stockport and they also deliver a fresh batch every Thursday to Pimlott’s Butchers in Cheadle Hulme.
Location wise – The Cheshire Bakehouse really is a Cheshire foodie’s dream for access to fresh pastry !
