Sea Change Wine

The greatest threat to our oceans is the belief that someone else will save them.

Are you a wine lover and conscious about helping the environment? There’s no other brand that specialises in satisfying these two wine goals other than Sea Change Wine; a unique business which offers award winning, environmentally conscious wines that help protect the oceans.

What’s their story?

Every bottle of Sea Change helps fund ocean conservation projects across the globe and their minimal packaging reduces waste and environmental impact.

What are the benefits?

• Plastic pollution is one of the planet’s biggest environmental challenges. Sea Change can help the wine industry address the responsibility to support current issues
• To safeguard the environment, organisations must provide consumers with consumption choices that better support and protect the environment – Sea Change can play that role
Sea Change offers a unique opportunity to engage directly with customers and consumers on a topic which matters
Sea Change has already raised €100,000 to support marine charities globally.

With the above in mind and excitement to review a selection of their recommendations, I was excited to trial a mix of both red and white wine to see what all the fuss was about…

Sea Change Malbec

Selected from their ‘Whale’ range (Languedoc-Rousillon, Pays D’Oc IGP, France), this red wine exudes flavour with violets and jasmine. Combined with rich, ripe blackberries, all notes compliment one another nicely and go perfectly with a spicy, mushroom packed chilli con carne.

Sea Change Chardonnay

Selected from their ‘Dolphin’ range (IGT Salento, Italy), I found this wine the most interesting to review as I’m typically not a Chardonnay fan. However, I trusted Sea Change’s guidance on this one as a popular choice amongst fellow non Chardonnay lovers and can now confirm I’m officially converted! An absolute dream wine with the most refreshing aftertaste, and no heavy oaky, strong taste you’d usually get with a typical Chardonnay.

A very dry, fruity wine bursting with flavours including lemon, lime and citrus zest; well-balanced and crisp with a soft finish. This coupled perfectly with mussels in a creamy white wine sauce on a warm, Summer’s evening.

Invest today to protect our oceans from plastic pollution, whilst enjoying a great tasting wine!

Next to review – the Sea Change Rose and Prosecco! Best get the Summer drinks in whilst the sun’s still out…
